Points come from three places — skill, effort, and luck — so showing up every day keeps you in it even on a cold streak.
🧠 Skill: for each game each day, whoever played gets ranked by score. 1st place scores the same as however many people played — so 6 players means the winner gets 6, down to 1 for last. Ties share the same rank, and the next score's rank jumps by however many tied (a 3-way tie for 1st means the next player is 4th, not 2nd). A game only counts if at least 4 people played it that day.
💪 Effort: play every game that counted today for a full-sweep bonus, and keep a daily play streak going (any game counts) — +1 point every 7 days you keep it alive. Both of these land the moment you earn them — no waiting on the reveal below.
🎰 Luck — Roulette: the bottom third of the day each spin a Mario Kart-style wheel at the 20:00 reveal (last place spins twice) — mostly a boost, occasionally a banana peel.
🌟 Luck — Milestones: land your all-time total exactly on a special number — a palindrome (121, 2332), a repdigit (222), a digit-run (123, 456), or a certified classic (69, 420, 1337). Checked once at the 20:00 reveal, using your final total for the day, not on every post.
🔒 The 20:00 reveal: your scores show up right away in Game-by-Game → Today, so you can see how each game went as people post — but the overall Standings board keeps today out of the running totals, and holds back roulette and milestone bonuses, until 20:00. Everyone's had a fair shot to play by then, and it all unlocks at once. No creeping up the leaderboard mid-day, no sandbagging based on who's ahead.
